The Challenge: The real cause of incoherence

One of the greatest challenges within organizations is the incoherence within the leadership dynamics. When the stakes are high, deadlines are approaching, insurmountable challenges are faced, and the bottom line is closely monitored, stress levels increase, and even the best of the team becomes less self-resourced and balanced. In this environment, people can default to the coping strategy behaviors that they learned as an adaptation to a less-than-nourishing household as developing adolescents. When team members resort to these behaviors, they become more:

  • Rigid and inflexible

  • Black and white in their thinking

  • Harsh and abrasive

  • Withdrawn and less collaborative

These behaviors lead to tension and lack of communication between leaders and less efficacy and impact in the direction of solutions and productivity. When there is disharmony, lack of understanding, and authentic dialogue in one area, it absolutely has a ripple effect in other areas. As trained and “evolved” as your team might be, there are bound to be blindspots in behaviors and communication habits. With time as the greatest commodity, it can seem overwhelming and never ending to tend to the relationships as opposed to the tasks at hand.

The Solution: A whole new approach

Starting with a deep understanding of your vision, mission and core values, Cathy then gets to know the key leaders in the organization. Through one on one and small group conversations she gains both a greater understanding of where the current dynamics are and why, and where they could be as a team. She comes to learn how the internal relational field is actually impacting deliverables and the client/customer’s experience. 

Cathy makes herself available to experience some of the current culture either through events or conversations until she can identify 2-3 top blocks to work with. She may facilitate online or in person and hold group conversations, wherein some of the more “difficult” topics can be discussed in a safe, heart centered way until greater self- awareness and shared understanding is reached. In essence, she helps to dislodge the boulder which allows the river to flow powerfully once again!

Ongoing relationship  - Cathy develops an ongoing relationship with the company and leadership team to provide longer term solutions from within the organization

Details:

Based on the needs of the organization, a proposal will be delivered.  This is appropriate for quarterly retreats or on a monthly retainer basis. Commitment ranges from three months to a year and may include: 

  • 1:1 coaching calls

  • 2:1 calls to tend to dynamics that are emerging and get in the way of efficient/healthy relationships amongst leaders

  • Small group facilitation to be sure everyone’s voice is heard and a cohesive vision is restored.

  • Large group in person connection activities 

  • Values based exercises

  • Culture and Visioning

  • An analysis of current situation as well as a roadmap to greater health

Event Facilitation: Embodied Connection

Specifically designed for conscious, Wellness, or Special Events and Weddings. Open any event with this two hour experience to create group cohesion, connection and to allow participants  a sense of ease with one another.

Participants / Attendees Will: 

  • Learn communication skills such as reflective listening, asking deepening questions

  • Have opportunities to both see and be seen and hear and be heard!

Details:

This is a two-hour experience where Cathy guides participants in a series of activities where listening, sharing authentically, and demonstrating curiosity are invited.
